Orthodontics for adults

Before commencing orthodontic treatment an early diagnosis is necessary (radiographs) to outline tratment options and to estimate its duration.

Oral hygiene and Braces

Before orthodontic appliances are attached it is important to have a professional scale and clean of the teeth. During the treatment you will find that food is more likely to get caught up in between teeth and it is harder for you to maintain a clean environment in your mouth, thus you should attend to your hygienist more often.

At your first dental hygiene you will be taught how to clean teeth and additional appliances that are now fixed in your mouth to prevent caries from happening.
Please note that neglected oral hygiene can lead to tooth enamel defects around the brackets.

Removable plates

are those which are worn more or less frequently, depending on the deformities. Should those appliances not be worn as instructed by your doctor, it could cause regression of already achieved treatment.

Brackets

are fixed elements that are bonded with special adhesives and techniques to the tooth surface.

They serve as anchorage for various arches that with help of forces manipulate the rotations of the teeth in desired directions. In a standard version these are metal. For an aesthetically satisfactory appearance the ceramic version is also available.

Clear Aligner

This is a transparent appliance which can be removed for the purpose of eating or drinking.
It is especially designed for those who need to uphold their aesthetics while working face to face with other people on everyday basis. It is individually made by a technician to correct some deformities of the teeth.

This is a three step procedure, you actually receive three aligners that you then replace with the next step once the first one had been worn for the desired amount of time. Each one of those aligners has different settings that have been constructed by the technician in a way that they have different strengths and forces that work on the teeth thus positioning them as desired.

Perfectly matched to the teeth and gums, no speaking difficulties while wearing, easy to carry and transparent, these aligners provide the comfort whilst working with others.
